How to adjust the labeling speed of the fully automatic paging labeling machine?

Release date:2026-03-09

Adjusting the labeling speed of a fully automatic paging labeling machine can usually be achieved by adjusting control system parameters and mechanical components. The specific methods are as follows:

Adjustment via the Control System

Adjust Motor Speed
Fully automatic paging labeling machines generally use motors to drive label feeding and product conveying. Locate the motor speed adjustment parameters in the control system, and change the labeling speed by increasing or decreasing the motor speed. For example, adjusting the motor speed from 500 rpm to 800 rpm will increase the labeling speed accordingly. Different brands and models of labeling machines may have different motor speed adjustment methods; some use direct numerical input on the touch screen, while others are adjusted via parameter menus.
Modify the Labeling Cycle
The labeling cycle refers to the time interval to complete one labeling action. Adjust the labeling cycle parameter in the control system; shortening the cycle can increase the labeling speed. For instance, reducing the labeling cycle from 5 seconds to 3 seconds will speed up labeling. Note that the labeling cycle must be adjusted according to actual operating conditions; an excessively short cycle may reduce labeling quality, such as insecure label adhesion or inaccurate positioning.
Optimize Sensor Parameters
Sensors detect product and label positions to control the labeling timing. Improper sensor detection speed and sensitivity settings will affect labeling speed. Properly adjust the sensor’s detection speed and sensitivity parameters to enable faster and more accurate detection, thereby optimizing labeling speed. For example, increasing the sensor detection speed from the default 10 times/second to 15 times/second allows the machine to respond faster to position changes and achieve higher-speed labeling.

Adjustment via Mechanical Components

Adjust Conveyor Belt Speed
Conveyor belt speed directly affects product feeding speed and thus labeling speed. Loosen the belt tension device, adjust the position of the conveyor drive motor to increase or decrease belt speed, then retighten the tension device. Some equipment can also change belt speed by adjusting the transmission ratio of the conveyor chain. For example, replacing the drive sprocket with one having a smaller tooth ratio will increase belt speed and labeling speed accordingly.
Optimize the Labeling Head Structure
Check all labeling head components, such as the label peeling plate and pressure rollers, to ensure proper operation. An inappropriate peeling plate angle will affect label peeling speed and thus labeling speed. Adjust the peeling plate angle appropriately for smoother label stripping from the liner. Also, check that pressure roller pressure is uniform; excessive or insufficient pressure affects both speed and quality, which can be optimized by adjusting the spring pressure of the pressure rollers.
When adjusting labeling speed, factors such as equipment stability, labeling quality, and product conveying conditions must be comprehensively considered. Make adjustments gradually until satisfactory speed and quality are achieved. If you are unfamiliar with equipment adjustment, refer to the machine operation manual or consult the technical support team of the equipment supplier.
